The house that the guys had rented wasn't in Ocean City. It was about ten miles south on the Ocean Drive in Sea Isle City. Diana said that instead of going down there with them she'd go home, get out of her sandy bathing suit and then drive herself down and have a barbecue with them. They couldn't believe it.
It was 4 PM, Diana told them she'd be there by six. And then she left the 27 Street beach and walked back to her house on Asbury Avenue. Alan and his friends also packed their stuff and headed for Sea Isle. "We're only goanna get this one chance," he told his friends, "I wonder how can we get her drunk enough to party with us?"
And, as an answer to the question, his friend Mickey said, "ever hear of GLB?" Alan said that he hadn't. Mickey explained that GLB (sometimes sold under the brand name, Blue Sundance), which has been on the shelves in health food stores for years, has recently been discovered as a cheap and legal way to get high. GBL converts in the bloodstream to GHB, a chemical substance used to treat narcolepsy (sleep disorders). It becomes a depressant that works on the central nervous system and produces euphoria and hallucinations. Once under it's spell, the recipient is, at best, semi-conscious and unable to defend himself or herself. Eventually the victim lapses in to a deep, almost comatose, sleep. Most dangerous of all, it is odourless and colourless and can be slipped in to the drink of the unsuspecting victim. There was also another caution; an overdose could be fatal.
Alan nodded with great interest. "Do you have any?" he asked. "No, but I know some guys who do," was Mickey's reply. And so, on the way to Sea Isle, they stopped by another teen-filled house and, for $25, came away with enough GBL to insure a most interesting evening with Mrs. McKay.
At 6 PM the barbecue grill was already fired up and more than a dozen young people, most of them Washington High students or grads, were at the house and more were expected. When Mrs. McKay arrived in her silver 280C Mercedes they were pleased to see her. Alan, Mickey and the two other guys were more pleased than the others.
Diana, true to her sexual nature, wore a form fitting, scooped-neck, white jersey, blue Bermuda shorts, that hugged her shapely ass, and white sandals that laced to the ankle. "Oh my God, she looks so fuckable," Alan whispered to Mickey.
All the male students liked Diana and she quickly became the center of conversation. Soon she was drinking a beer with them and acting very much like one of the gang. Some of the high school girls were uncomfortable with her, in fact at school some were outright hostile toward her because of the male attention she attracted.
One girl, who had no idea what was planned, whispered to a friend, "Mrs. McKay is a regular slut, it would serve her right if all these guys gang banged her." An hour passed and Diana had consumed a few beers and was acting just a bit giddy. "Anyone ready to eat?" Alan called out, and everyone agreed that they were. It was then that Diana unwittingly set the stage for her own demise.
"I'd better switch to ice tea with my burger," she said, "I'll be driving home in a little while and don't want to be too tipsy." "I'll take care of you Mrs.Mack," Mickey said, "using the name that most students called her at school." And take care of her he did. He mixed a healthy dose of GBL in the tall ice tea glass and handed it to her. She drank it down while eating her burger and Mickey quickly fixed her another.
The effects began to show after the second glass of tea; all of a sudden Diana started to get very quiet. Alan and Mickey watched as she began to rub her eyes. Then her head. The first sign is a headache. She got up from her chair and started to walk in to the house. She bumped in to a table, staggered a bit, and then tripped up the steps. Her legs were like rubber. But she got inside the door.
